Common questions about how INDEX documents and shares client work.

How do you decide which engagements become case studies?
We write up the engagements where the outcome was genuinely instructive — a hard problem solved, a measurable shift in delivery, a pattern worth sharing — rather than every project we touch. The bar is whether a technology leader in a similar position would learn something useful from it. We always seek the client's agreement before publishing, and we are happy to anonymise sensitive details where that is the only way to tell the story responsibly.
Are these results independently verifiable?
The outcomes we quote come directly from the engagements themselves — the metrics agreed with the client, the timelines we worked to, and the results measured against them. Where a client is willing to act as a reference, we are glad to make an introduction so you can hear about the work first-hand. We do not inflate numbers or claim credit for outcomes that were not ours to claim; the point of publishing is to be useful, and that only works if it is honest.
Can I talk to someone about a similar problem?
Yes — that is exactly what these are for. If a case study resonates because you are facing something comparable, reach out through our contact form and tell us a little about your situation. We will connect you with the practitioners who actually did the work, not a sales team, so the first conversation is a genuinely technical one about whether and how we can help.
Will my organisation be named if we work with INDEX?
Only with your explicit consent. Some clients are happy to be named and even to be quoted, because they are proud of the work; others prefer that engagements stay confidential, and we respect that completely. Nothing about your engagement is published without your sign-off, and confidentiality is the default, not the exception.
