How To Beat The Cold

Although we mAlthough we may not like it, we’re nearing winter! The season of coughs and colds. So, how do you boost your immunity to avoid the bugs, or what’s the best way to get rid of them if you have already succumbed?

There are a few things we can do to strengthen our bodies against germs and boost our natural immunity.

What boosts our immunity?

There have been numerous studies that show regular moderate exercise, the intake of a variety of vitamins and minerals, and keeping alcohol and smoking to a minimum can boost your immunity.

Make sure you don’t overdo the exercise while your body is trying to recuperate. Gentler programs that incorporate yoga and walking can keep the body moving without stressing your system. Here are some ideas on stretches, exercising on a tight schedule and recovering after a workout.

Science is a wonderful thing, and we have the great fortune to live in a country that has access to vaccines – if you’re particularly worried about getting sick, it can be a good idea to book a flu shot.

What if you’re feeling sick?

Plan ahead or ask for help. There is nothing worse than trying to multitask juggling tissues, cough medicine and healthy ideas for dinner while feeling ill.
